Introduction to Sponsored Research for new Department Administrators
Foundational 2-Day training workshop for Department Administrators who are new to managing awards.

This course is ideal for those who are new to sponsored research at BU, or who will be taking on new grant management responsibilities and need a refresher.
The course is held twice a year.
Sponsored Research Revealed Series
We are developing in-depth training on topics such as The term Effort is used for persons charged to Sponsored Res... More, cost share, cost transfers, and subrecipient monitoring. These sessions will be 2-3 hour long workshop style classes, made up of case studies and hands on activities.

This 1-hour training session is relevant for all departments, schools, and colleges and includes the importance of regularly reviewing transactions posted to fund centers, high risk transactions, plus tips and guidance including reviewing sponsored research accounts and gift and endowment accounts.

An informal meeting to learn about the Post Award Financial Operations team, for new starters.

Training Manager, who will introduce the DA to what PAFO does, useful contacts, and our suite of resources and guidance materials. This is helpful for both DAs working solely on the post award side of grants, and those who would just like a more holistic view of the research lifecycle.</p>
